Title: Entry Level Agent Assistant
Description: Entry Level Agent Assistant Position at a prestigious New York City literary agency.

Agent Assistant will provide part-time (15-20 hours per week) administrative, creative, and editorial support for two Folio agent(s). Assistant will receive direction and work assignments directly from agents. Assistant must be flexible and able to prioritize, organize and coordinate work assignments, and determine the most efficient way to accomplish each assigned task. Responsibilities include: corresponding with authors/editors/other agents, developing/editing proposals, reading manuscripts and writing editorial critiques,reading submissions, researching potential clients, maintaining paper and electronic files, maintaining calendars/contacts database, scheduling appointments, managing agent interns, completing internal office forms and memos, updating internal systems, assisting in company-wide initiatives, etc.
Requirements: Bachelors degree.
-At least 6 months of office experience; preferred minimum 1 years' publishing experience
-Excellent communication abilities: Assistant will act as liaison between authors, editors/publishers, film agents, publicists, other Folio agents, etc.
-Strong spelling and grammatical skills.
-Ability to prioritize work assignments, follow directions and work accurately.
-Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills, and be a self-starter.
-Strong technical skills: Daily use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and Outlook, plus database software
-Strong interpersonal skills
