Description: We are a Paris-based fast-growing literary agency with a special foothold in the Spanish and French-language markets. We are looking for a motivated multilingual intern to start ASAP. 

This flexible remote internship is a 3-6+ months, part-time (20+ hour/week) position. At the end of the internship a permanent position may be offered (remotely or in our offices in Paris).

Our interns will receive an insider’s view to rights management, while having the opportunity to learn about the publishing industry.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Reading and evaluating manuscripts and preparing reader’s reports
- Searching out new literary talent 
- Corresponding with potential authors and publishers
- Maintaining databases & website
- Translating website and promotional content
- Providing support to digital and social media, including the development and scheduling of content across social media channels 
- Contributing to the execution of the content marketing strategy, including maintaining blog, social and email marketing calendars with some content development 
- Creating and maintaining media lists, as well as developing and maintaining relevant editorial calendars 
- Light administrative work may also occasionally be necessary.

** Interns will also be given the opportunity to develop their own ideas for potential clients and projects, and to pitch those ideas in weekly editorial meetings. **
Length of Internship: 6 months (a permanent position may be offered after)
Requirements: We are looking for candidates with: 

- Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English

- Excellent understanding of Spanish is a must. French is also highly appreciated — translation tasks required !

- International view, cross-cultural understanding and multicultural sensitivity

- Resourceful, proactive approach to problems and queries
- Passion for literature, and a good awareness of international literary fiction

- Computer literacy (some blogging or website-updating experience appreciated) 

- Self-motivation, dependability, and attention to detail
