Company Name: W. W. NORTON & COMPANY
Description: The college division at W. W. Norton & Company is seeking an intern from February to May 2019 to assist with projects in the Advertising department. The internship will offer insight into the editorial, advertising, and sales aspects of textbook publishing. Tasks will vary, but will include:
• Input booklists and create coupon codes within company software
• Extract mailing lists for distribution of print advertisements
• Gather marketing materials for conferences
• Organize and update email campaign schedule
• Send email campaigns to copyediting team
• Assist with administrative duties as needed
Length of Internship: 3 months, 20 hours per week
Requirements: Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized, able to work independently in an office environment, and interested in learning about college textbook publishing. Those with an interest in marketing are especially encouraged to apply. Strong applicants are expected to have excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and ability to work on various projets across all disciplines. Specific hours are flexible, but interns must be available to work 3-4 days for a total of 20 hours per week over a three-month period. College juniors, seniors, and recent graduates preferred.
